[News] K-Pop Stars Take Asian Visitors on Tour of Seoul
2PM's Taec-yeon and Miss A's Chinese members Jia and Fei made time in their busy schedules for K-pop fans from Chinese-speaking countries to guide them around Seoul on Tuesday.
They were selected by the Korea Tourism Organization after it organized a promotional event with the celebrities to help foreigners enjoy Korean cuisine and soak up some of the country's charms. The organization invited K-pop fans to upload their videos to win a week-long trip to the country including one day in Seoul with the stars.

On the last day of their seven-day tour, which took them to cities such as Andong, Busan and Tongyeong, the five tourists in their 20s from China, Taiwan and Singapore were shown several tourist attractions in Seoul's wealthy Gangnam area.
They also shopped together with stars, who gave them fashion tips, showed them how to imitate their styles and took them to boutiques in the nearby areas. The foreign tourists wore clothes that the stars picked out for them and had a photo shoot together. Later, they dined together and shared their thoughts.
"I got a chance to experience how fans of the Korean Wave could extend their love [of Korean music] to encompass the country as a whole," said Taec-yeon. Jia, who talked with the tourists in fluent Chinese. "I felt that Asian people's interest in Korean fashion styles, as well as Korean Wave stars in general, has increased."

[News] J.Y.Park comments on 2PM Wooyoung’s first solo stage
Producer and singer J.Y.Park commented on 2PM member Wooyoung‘s first solo stage during Mnet ‘20s Choice‘ awards ceremony.
He said, “I am upset, but I’m sure Wooyoung is probably a hundred times more upset.”
For his solo promotion, Wooyoung transformed into a “romantic, sexy guy” with bleached blonde hair and performed his new songs, “2Night” and “Sexy lady“.
J.Y.Park added, “Wooyoung practiced so hard even until the night before but because of the water in the middle, he couldn’t do everything that he wanted to. I think he did well and he will do much better later, but as of now, he is probably very upset.”
The mastermind producer was also asked about Suzy’a award and he jokingly commented, “I think what I received was much better.” J.Y.Park received the ‘DO Dont’ award while MissA’s Suzy recieved the ’20's Movie Star’ award.

[Entertainment] Wonder Girls’ Sohee Chooses 2PM’s Wooyoung over 2AM’s Seulong
On June 30 the Wonder Girls appeared on TV Chosun’s “Entertainment in TV – the TREND” and appeared on the interview corner, “An Interview’s Dignity.”
The Wonder Girls members did an “Ideal Man World Cup” game. (“World Cup” games are when an individual chooses their ideal type out of two people, then you continue to do that until you are only left with one person that is your ideal type)
Sohee ended up choosing 2PM’s Wooyoung instead of 2AM’s Seulong. This comes as a surprise because Sohee and Seulong were spotted eating, and dating rumors about the two have been going around.
Sohee said of Wooyoung, “Me and Wooyoung oppa have a similar sense of humor. We don’t talk that much but when Wooyoung oppa says one or two things I end up laughing hard.”
Sohee said of Seulong, “I am so close to Seulong that I call him Seulong unni. Just like a real sister he is very delicate and considerate.”
The other Wonder Girls members also stated, “Seulong unni is like a real sister. He takes care of everyone.”

‘Seven Something’ is set to debut in Thailand on July 26, 2012.
[Teaser] Tracklist for 2PM’s Wooyoung solo album revealed
After unleashing a video teaser, the tracklist for 2PM‘s Wooyoung upcoming solo album “23, male, single” has been unveiled.
The Album will contain 7 tracks in total and 2 of the tracks will feature work by his fellow 2PM members. “DJ GOT ME GOING’ CRAZY feat Jun. K” will feature lyrics & composition by Junsu (Jun. K) while “Be With You” will feature lyrics & composition by Junho.
Additionally it seems “Sexy Lady” will be the lead title track and J.Y. Park “The Asiansoul” will be the man behind it’s production.
Wooyoung’s solo debut album is slated for release on July 8th.

[Twitter] 2PM Wooyoung gets humiliated by 2PM members
It was been revealed that Wooyoung was humiliated by his fellow 2PM members.
2PM’s Junho uploaded a screen capture of a chat room between the members onto his personal Twitter on June 27th and wrote, “Uh oh… nobody went to the basement. A sly escape.”
Excluding Nichkhun who is currently in Thailand, Wooyoung invited members Taecyeon, Chansung, Junsu, and Junho into a Kakao Talk chat room and sent them a message saying, “Come to the basement if you want to practice dancing with me.”
To this Chansung replied, “Let’s do it together next time Woodong!” and exited the chat room. Taecyeon exited the chat room without writing anything, Junsu did not even bother to check the message, and Junho screen captured this event which brought laughter to fans.
Fans commented saying, “A really cool escape,” “So cute. 2PM’s really funny,” and “2PM’s character shows through this one screen cap.”
On another note, Wooyoung began his solo album promotions on June 28th at ‘Mnet ’20s Choice‘.

[News] ‘SBS K-Pop Festival in LA’ postponed
Last week it was revealed that the west coast was in for another treat, as the ‘2012 SBS K-Pop Festival in LA‘ will soon be taking place.
But after the announcement, the event Facebook page as well as Twitter accounts were deactivated and deleted. Many allkpop readers were discouraged and upset due to the possibility of a cancellation of the event.
We therefore contacted our sources and received confirmation that the event is not cancelled, but postposed to a later date, tentatively, August 4th, 2012.
The line up listed on the Facebook page included top stars like Girls’ Generation, SHINee, 2PM, KARA, 4minute, B2ST, SISTAR, SECRET, and INFINITE.
Although specific details have yet to be confirmed, TS Entertainment has confirmed with allkpop, that SECRET will definitely be attending the concert, which is currently scheduled to take place on August 4th, 2012.

[News] 2PM Wooyoung chosen as the best cover model for ‘Men’s Health’
2PM‘s Woo Young has been chosen as the best cover model for ‘Men’s Health’ magazine!
After revealing his muscular body through the July edition of ‘Men’s Health’, Woo Young was chosen as the best cover model in the ‘Cool Guy Competition’. He will be attending the award ceremony at the Grand Hilton Hotel on the 28th.
The ‘Cool Guy Competition’ picked the cover model with the best outer and inner appearance, physical health, masculinity, and mentality between the July 2011 edition and July 2012 edition.
Following last year’s winner, Chan Sung, Woo Young was chosen as this year’s winner over other stars such as Lee Joon, Dong Joon, Ji Chang Wook, Chu Shin Soo, Lee Seung Yup, Taecyeon, Moon Sung Min, Yoon Hyung Bin, and Cha Seung Won.
Woo Young stated, “I was the fourth 2PM member to take on the cover of ‘Men’s Health’ but was the second member to take the best cover model award. I am very grateful to receive such an award right before my solo debut. Thank you.”

[News] Park Jin Young cheers for 2AM Jokwon and 2PM Wooyoung
Singer and producer Park Jin Young recently cheered for 2AM’s Jo Kwon and 2PM’s Woo Young.
On June 27, Park tweeted, “Both of you are probably feel nervous about performing on stage by yourselves. But it is not crucial worrying about the results so let’s think this will make you improve. The most important thing is how much you can learn from this. Good luck to you great guys.”
Park wrote the note for Jo Kwon and Woo Young, who will return to performing as solo singers. The two stars will release their albums around the same time.
Jo Kwon released his first solo album I’m Da One on June 25. Woo Young will also released a teaser video for his first solo album, which will be released on July 8. Both men drew a lot of attention by showing a different side of them.
Park will also show a different side of him as a movie actor by appearing on the movie A Millionaire on the Run, which will be released in July.

[News] 2PM Taecyeon Shows Up in front of Fans for the First Time after His Big Injury
2PM Taecyeon got his cast removed.
On the 26th, Taecyeon showed up at the Seoul ‘Touch Korea’ press conference without his cast. He had came to attend the event where he would visit the hot spots in Korea with international fans.
During an interview, Taecyeon revealed “I took off the cast today(26th)”, and “I’m working hard to recooperate”.
Taecyeon had injured his bones during arm wrestling game with his members back in May. He had touched the hearts of many fans by still getting on the concert stage in Japan despite his injury.
On this day, Taec Yeon attended the event with a bright facial expression, enjoying tea time, shopping, and photshoots with his fans.

[News] JYP Entertainment artists to collaborate with Swizz Beatz for Reebok Classic line
J.Y. Park revealed news of a collaboration between JYP Entertainment and Swizz Beatz for Reebok.
At Reebok’s partnership event on June 26th, J.Y. Park stated, “For this first project with Reebok, there are plans for JYP Entertainment to release a music video and song that are different than what’s been released before.” JYP and Reebok will be working together to represent the brand’s ‘Classic Campaign’, and a new song is planned for release in July.
He also revealed the endorsement models from his agency: 2PM‘s Wooyoung, Nichkhun, and miss A‘s Suzy. Wooyoung hinted at an upcoming collaboration with American hip hop producer Swizz Beatz yesterday.
Swizz Beatz, who also attended the event, commented, “J.Y. Park is really a genius. [They] definitely need his ingenuity and professionalism when it comes to music to upgrade the Reebok Classic brand. [We're like brothers now]. It’s not something that’ll only [apply] to my country, but a project that can be spread globally. More innovation will happen in the future.”
J.Y. Park is reported to be involved in product design and marketing for the project as well.

[News] 2PM’s Junsu to return to ‘Immortal Song 2′ for the first time in a year
2PM‘s Junsu will be returning to KBS‘s ‘Immortal Song 2‘ for the first time in a year to compete against Super Junior‘s Ryeowook and INFINITE‘s Sunggyu.
Junsu will mark his official return with the episode starting July 21st, and fans are already raising anticipation for the battle between three of the biggest Hallyu stars in the current idol market. Junsu’s previous performances in June and July of last year had earned high praise for his outstanding vocals.
The summer special of the show will feature a total of 12 competing artists and will last for two weeks starting July 21st and ending on the 28th.

[News] 2PM wins ‘Best Group Video’ at MTV Video Music Awards Japan
2PM has won the ‘Best Group Video‘ category at MTV Video Music Awards Japan for their “I’m Your Man” music video!
allkpop previously reported that 2PM was nominated, and that they would be performing at the event held at the Makuhari Messe on June 23rd as well.
Other music videos nominated for ‘Best Group Video’ include Coldplay‘s “Paradise“, Ikimonogakari‘s “Itsudatte Bokura Wa“, Maroon 5‘s “Moves Like Jagger” featuring Christina Aguilera, and Monkey Majik‘s “Hero“.

[News] Fan site donates money to help multicultural children to celebrate Nichkhun’s birthday
2PM‘s Nichkhun received a meaningful gift for his upcoming birthday on the 24th.
According to one of Nichkhun’s fan sites, ‘kobkhunkadotcom‘, the fans delivered a meaningful birthday gift to Children and the Future, a social service agency that helps children in and out of the country to dream of bright futures.
For Nichkhun’s 25th birthday, the members of kobkhunkadotcom collected around $4,300 (5 million KRW) from January to May and donated it to support multicultural children in Korea.
The members shared, “Nichkhun once said that his most memorable gift from the fans was a donation certificate so we prepared this special donation for his birthday this year.”
They also added, “Since the star we like is showing his interest and participation in donations, the fans seem to enthusiastically participate more in donations or volunteering.”
The Children and the Future’s ‘Star?, Donate?‘ is a meaningful fund-raising campaign where the fan clubs can donate to isolated children and teens in their stars’ names to celebrate special days such as their birthdays, debut days, or the start of movies or dramas.
These types of events allow the fans’ to show their love for their stars while promoting awareness of worthy causes.

[News] 2PM to particpate in the ‘Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Race’
The members of 2PM as well as KBS’ ‘Let’s Go Dream Team!’ will be representing Korea to attend Hong Kong’s boat festival scheduled to take place in the Tsim Sha Tsui area of Hong Kong July 2nd. In the evening, 2PM along with a few other Korean and Hong Kong artists will be putting on an exciting performance at the San Miguel Beer Garden to chase away the summer heat. Because the performance is one part of the entire festival, it will be put on free of charge.
The boat festival is an annual celebration that started back in 2000. It commemorates the memory of China’s national hero, Qu Yuan, a poet who drowned himself in the Miluo River to protest against the corruption of the government officials of his time. The modern day boat festival has now become a traditional sport and event of Hong Kong, and deemed a holiday that can be enjoyed by all.
Participants of the boat race are divided into teams of 20-22. With their teams, they must complete a dynamic 10-meter course while driving a dragon-shaped boat. The difficulty of the task is said to be something that cannot be described in words, but is an exciting and fun sport to play and to watch.
This year’s theme for the event is titled ‘2012 Hong Kong, Asia World Tour‘, and it will provide the guests and tourists an opportunity to directly experience the colorful culture of Hong Kong and its festivals. Hong Kong offers a wide variety of enjoyable festivals throughout the year, including the Lunar New Year’s festival in January, the Hong Kong International Film Festival in March, and the food festival as well as Buddha’s birthday celebratory event in May. Tourists can also experience the mega shopping season of Hong Kong in August, the city’s exotic Halloween festival in October, the abundant feasts provided in the food and wine festivals of November, and the New Year’s countdown celebration in December. With this year-long schedule planned out in advance, tourists are able to experience the fusion of both eastern and western culture that Hong Kong is known to harbor.

[News] 2PM’s Taecyeon Humiliated by His University Professor
2PM’s Taecyeon has suffered a humiliating incident at the hands of his university professor.
Recently an amateur cell phone photo was posted on an online community board titled, “Ock Taecyeon who went to school to take his exams but got toyed around and then returned home.”
The picture showed an amateur cell phone picture taken of Taecyeon standing in front of the class against the blackboard.
The caption for the photo explain, “Ock Taecyeon went to class to take his exams but then the professor told him, ‘You don’t even show up for class, so what do you mean you want to take an exam. Go stand up in front of the class so the kids can take your photo.’”
The humorous and humiliating incident was all the more amplified by Taecyeon’s appearance in the picture, which showed him standing in jeans, boots, and floral T-shirt and bed-head hair.
The incident was even mentioned on Taecyeon’s Twitter in which he tweeted, “Ah, how unfair. I put a lot of focus on my clothes since I was going to school ?? Is it because of my hair?? Haha.”

[News] More Details on 2PM Wooyoung’s New Album Revealed
As reported earlier, 2PM’s Wooyoung is currently working in the process of recording his first-ever solo album. On June 19, more details on his upcoming album were revealed.
“Wooyoung is currently working very hard for his very first solo album. JYP worked on it very carefully so far,” an industry insider was quoted as saying by local media Newsen. According to the source, Wooyoung is highly likely to release his solo album in mid-July.
This would make Wooyoung the first 2PM member to officially run solo promotions. Junsu released his solo track last year but it was more of a special track produced for 2PM’s Asian Tour concert. There have been OST tracks by individual 2PM members too, but Wooyoung is the first to produce a full solo album.
Meanwhile, if Wooyoung does come out with his new album in July, then he would have to go up against the likes of Super Junior, 2NE1, After School, BEST, and T-ara, making this summer one of the most heated markets in a long time. Check back for more updates!

Images of 2PM and miss A trying to show Korea’s charm was captured.
Recently, a photo from a film site of “Touch Korea Tour,” was revealed on an online community site. The revealed photo shows Korea tourism honorary ambassadors, 2PM’s Chansung and Junho and miss A’s Suzy. They are busy trying to show the taste and appeal of Korea with 15 “Korea manias.”
Suzy stood out because she tied her hair neatly in half and wore a floral patterned sky-blue one piece dress. Netizens exclaimed on her innocent beauty.
“Touch Korea Tour” is a 2012 official global campaign from the Korea Tourism Organization to target people who love Korea all around the world. This campaign will allow people to participate and interact with the Korean culture.
Korea tourism honorary ambassadors, 2PM and miss A, participated inthe “Touch Korea Tour,” in order to let people know about Korea’s attractions and to make special memories.
Meanwhile, the Korea Tourism Organization is trying to open a site based on the contents created by “Touch Korea Tour.” With this site, they are trying to offer opportunities to share and experience Korea to foreign tourists.
