[News] 2PM performs at the postgame conference of South Korea vs. New Zealand friendly soccer match


On July 14th, at Seoul World Cup Stadium, South Korea’s Olympic soccer team had played against New Zealand in a friendly match before the upcoming 2012 London Olympics. In the match, South Korea won against New Zealand 2-1, with goals scored by players Park Chuyoung and Nam Taehee.

After the game, during the press release, popular group 2PM performed a spectacular performance in front of the players and the fans. 2PM was performing in the rain, and member Chansung had slipped on stage but got up with a bright face.

Despite the rain, the 2PM members greeted the national players, brought up the crowd with their performances, and cheered on the players together with the fans.

[News] Concert sales for SM, JYP & YG artists in Japan revealed


A recent report by TVDaily has revealed the impressive amounts of revenue that the artists from Korea’s ‘Big Three’ music agencies, SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment and YG Entertainment, have generated in both Korea and Japan.

In the first half of 2012, SM artists have been confirmed to have achieved over 100 billion won in sales. TVXQ‘s tours in Japan (26 performances thus far) drew a total audience of 550,000 fans with ticket sales amounting to 76 billion won (~$66 million USD). SHINee‘s 20 performances have drawn 200,000 people totaling over 25 billion won (~$22 million USD), and Super Junior has earned approximately 110,000 guests for about 15.7 billion won (~$13 million USD) with just two performances in 2012.

In this same time period, the YG Family world tour concert in Japan drew a total of 310,000 people alone for a total revenue of 49.4 billion won (~$43 million USD). As for JYPE, 2PM‘s Japanese Budokan Concert Tour in Asia drew 110,000 people for approximately 5.8 billion won (~$5.1 million USD).

In addition, Cube Entertainment, DSP Entertainment and many other music agencies are ready to join in the second half of this year.

[Twitter] 2PM Wooyoung prepares pastries for his fans at ‘Inkigayo’


2PM‘s Jang Wooyoung, who is currently active as a solo artist, shared a proof-shot photo of the presents he will be handing out to a number of lucky fans.

On the morning of July 15th, the singer tweeted the photo above along with a post that read, “Rainy Sunday morning. These are the presents for the fans who came early in the morning to cheer me on. This is daebak. This is Jang bbang. Enjoy ?.” (‘Bbang’ means ‘bread’ in Korean.)

Wooyoung is seen in the photo standing beside a table pilled with packaged bread, ready to be handed out to a number of his fans who attended the pre-recording at SBS‘s ‘Inkigayo‘.

Fans were touched by his fan service as they left comments such as, “I want to receive one, too!“, “Lucky fans“, “Ah, I should’ve gone today!“, “Excellent fan service“, and more.
