[News] 2PM claims 2 wins from Tower Records
2PM has been crowned “Best Artist” as well as the artist with the “Best Single” by Tower Records.
The Japanese music retailer released the results on July 14 and awarded various K-pop acts by tallying up sales figures and votes from netizens. It also deemed the group’s single Beautiful as the best K-pop song from the early half of the year.As well as the official sales records, netizens were able to vote via blogs, Facebook and other social networking Web sites.Meanwhile, bands Super Junior and SHINee were voted second and third most popular K-pop bands.Of late, 2PM also claimed another win when member Taecyeon was recognized for his toned body. On the July 3 episode of MBC Music’s “Show Champion”, the 2PM member was voted as the male celebrity with the best abs.By Carla Sunwoo

[News] Nichkhun and IU voted by ‘Elle’ readers as the idols they most want to vacation with
In a recent poll held by Elle magazine, 2PM‘s Nichkhun and IU were chosen as the idols fans most want to vacation with.
Nichkhun topped the list of most wanted male idol vacation partners with 42% of the votes. Elle’s readers commented, “It would be paradise wherever we went,” and “Khun, you don’t have to do anything! I’ll take care of everything!”
In second came MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon with 27% of votes, while Big Bang‘s G-Dragon took third with 18% and SHINee‘s Minho came in at fourth with 13%.
IU was the #1 female idol and got 39% of votes. Those polled commented, “A trip filled with happiness! Her laid-back personality and easygoing charm makes her seem like an unni,” and “A vacation with IU would be a ‘Good Day‘ like her song, everyday.”
miss A‘s Suzy made second with 27%, Dara of 2NE1 received 18%, and SISTAR‘s Hyorin came in fourth with 16%.

[News] Celebrities show their support for Psy’s “Gangnam Style” & album
After the release of his latest music video, Psy has uploaded a compilation of clips in which various celebrities left encouraging messages for “Gangnam Style” and his newest album.
Among the many supporters, singer and producer J.Y. Park said, “Korea really needs you,” actor Song Seung Hun, who is participating in the time-traveling drama ‘Dr. Jin’, amusingly commented, “I’m Joseon style right now,” and actor Jang Geun Suk concluded the video with his fellow Parisian fans saying, “For Psy’s newest single, ‘Gangnam Style’, [we say] hwaiting!”
Others featured in the video include actress Yoo In Na, singers Kim Tae Woo and Seo In Young, as well as various idol members such as 2PM‘s Wooyoung, After School, KARA‘s Nicole and Hara, 2AM‘s Jo Kwon, and more.

[Entertainment] BIG STAR’s FeelDog & Baram revealed to be friends with 2PM’s Wooyoung
BIG STAR‘s FeelDog and Baram have shown off their friendship with 2PM‘s Wooyoung through a new cafe update!
On July 17th, the two wrote on their official fancafe, “A photo taken in memory of the reunion of FeelDog, Baram, and Wooyoung hyung senior!! We were really nervous during our debut, but we were able to do well thanks to Wooyoung hyung’s support and encouragement!^^.”
Posing backstage at a music program, the three definitely look close. As it turns out, their connection dates back to their trainee days, as FeelDog had won various dance competitions as well as JYP Entertainment‘s auditions while Baram had been a trainee under JYP as well as a b-boy.
Netizens commented, “So FeelDog was from JYP!”, “The three of them somehow match together”, “Baram was also from JYP?!”, and “Hot Boy, Sexy Lady daebak!”
