[News] 2PM’s Nichkhun involved in a minor car accident while driving under the influence

2PM‘s Nichkhun has been allegedly caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

On July 24th at 3:30AM KST, Nichkhun was involved in a car accident while driving in Gangnam. The singer was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when he rear-ended a motorcycle.

His blood alcohol level was measured at 0.056%, a percentage where he will be subjected to his license becoming suspended.

An official from Gangnam’s police station informed Dispatch over the telephone July 24th, “After measuring his alcohol content at the site [of the incident], it was concluded that [Nichkhun] was not severely intoxicated. Immediately after the accident, [Nichkhun] and the victim were investigated by the police.”

No one was injured at the scene, and there was no serious damage to either vehicle. The police station official continued, “It was a small accident and neither Nichkhun nor the victim were injured. Both vehicles were insured, and Nichkhun has taken measures to safely return home following his investigation.”

[News] JYP Entertainment apologizes for 2PM member Nichkhun’s recent accident

JYP Entertainment just released this statement to allkpop, in regards to 2PM member Nichkhun‘s recent car accident.

“This is JYP Entertainment. Around 2:30AM this morning, Nichkhun who is an artist under our agency had attended a dinner with the entire JYP family present, following a rehearsal for a JYP performance. After having about two glasses of beer, Nichkhun was driving back to his dorm which is located on the same block as the location the dinner took place. On the way, Nichkhun was involved in an accident with a motorcycle at an intersection in the neighborhood.”

They continued, “His blood alcohol level was measured at 0.056%, and his license has been suspended. Nichkhun himself and our company are well aware that we were careless, and for this we would like to apologize. Furthermore, we will earnestly oblige to any follow-up investigations that may be necessary. Once again, we would like to sincerely apologize.”

2PM‘s Jang Wooyoung has taken the #1 spot on the Hanteo weekly album chart with his debut solo release, ‘23, Male, Single‘.

The singer’s debut solo album ‘23, Male, Single‘ seized the number 1 (Gold Edition) and 3 (Silver Edition) positions for the week of July 16th to July 22nd.

The single 23 year old, Jang Wooyoung presents his own unique appeal in his debut album. Having complemented his stylish music with some never-before-seen sexy swag, many fans have already fallen to his lethal charm.

[News] 2PM Nichkhun returns from Thailand after attending a successful premiere of his debut film ‘Seven Something’

According to JYP Entertainment, Nichkhun has recently returned from Thailand after attending the premiere for his first ever film.

The agency went on to express, “Nichkhun left Korea on the 19th for the promotion of his movie and has returned after a successful press conference and premiere, thanks to all of the support he received.”

The film, ‘Seven Something‘, which garnered much interest for being Nickhun’s debut project, is said to have been produced as a celebratory motion picture for the 7th anniversary of the production company ’GTH‘. The film company is well known in Korea for their movies such as ‘Phobia 2‘, ‘Hello Stranger‘, and ‘Bangkok Traffic Love Story‘.

Directed by three directors, the film’s storyline plays off the idea that human beings experience a transformation every seven years. Furthermore, the movie will draw out its story about love and life in a three part omnibus format. Nichkhun plays the protagonist in the third episode, ‘42.195‘, in which he introduces love and meaning into the life of female lead, ‘Sukwan”. It was also added that Nichkhun exhibited veteran-like acting skills despite being a newcomer.

An estimated 200 reporters showered the press conference with questions and camera flashes, whereas nearly 300 reporters were present for the red carpet and stage greeting. 2,000 fans were also present for the latter events.

The premiere event in particular was a large scale event with 1,000 people in attendance including representatives from JYPE, the central media, and local officials, confirming the anticipation surrounding Nichkhun and the upcoming release of the film on the 26th.

Nichkhun spoke up during the event saying, “I’m so glad to be able to attend the premiere of my first movie as an actor. It’s a new experience. I think this movie will always have a place in my heart because I had a great time filming it. I want to thank all those who helped me and waited for me.”

Nichkhun returned to Korea earlier today after successfully finishing up promotions for the movie in Thailand.

[News] 2PM Nichkhun’s Thai Film to Be Released on July 26

Nichkhun fans rejoice! The movie that 2PM’s Nichkhun appears in will be released on July 26 throughout Thailand. According to JYP Entertainment on July 22, “The movie that Nichkhun appears in ‘Seven Something’ will be released on July 26. Before the release of the movie, Nichkhun visited Thailand on July 19. There, he attended a movie premiere and also participated in a press conference for the movie.”

Nearly 200 different individuals were at the press conference and more than 2,000 fans came to get a glimpse of the star.

“Seven Something” contains three different stories that have the subject of life and love. The film is being produced by Thailand’s greatest film distributor “GTH.”

Nichkhun appears in the third episode of the film titled “42.195.”

[News] 2PM’s Wooyoung discusses who has the best body in 2PM

Hard work doesn’t lie! 2PM may have always held title of the idol group with the best bodies, but this is because 2PM members work hard and compete against themselves to maintain their bodies.

In Korea, the best indicator of the hottest male entertainers is the cover of Men’s Health magazine: 2PM members Wooyoung, Nichkhun, Chansung, and Taecyeon have all been featured as cover models in the past. This year, Wooyoung beat out other stars like Lee Joon, Dongjun, baseball players Choo Shin Soo and Lee Seung Yeob, Taecyeon, comedian Yoon Hyung Bin, and even actor Cha Seung Won, in the 7th Men’s Health Cool Guy competition, and was featured in the July edition of the magazine.

Even with his new title, Wooyoung selected Nichkhun as the member with the best body in 2PM, as he said, “Nichkhun has experience with Muay Thai (a Thai combat sport). He has muscles that you can’t make from just working out. Chansung works the hardest for his body. Among 2PM members, Chansung exercises the most.” He also said that Junsu focuses more on being well-balanced and healthy, rather than only working out.

Wooyoung continued, “Members watch their diets carefully for about 2 weeks, before a photo shoot. If we eat the way we regularly do, it breaks the balance in our bodies and makes it harder to create a nice shape. We watch our diets for 2-3 weeks when we need to.”

This month, Wooyoung has been promoting his new solo album, ‘23, Male, Single‘ with his title song, ‘Sexy Lady‘.
