Nick Jonas of The Jonas Brothers just signed a lease for designer Marc Jacobs old place, which hit the market for $23,000.
Curbed NY reports that Jonas is only paying $20,000 a month for the place, and Jacobs had only (LOL “only”) been paying $15,000 a month. But rental increases are something Jonas should have the hang of by now — he’s in New York taking over the starring role in How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, and he was previously attempting to rent a place in the ultra expensive Upper West Side building at 15 Central Park West.
But now he’ll be laying his head in Chelsea. We’re not sure where Jacobs moved to after he left this place, but we’re hoping that Jonas will be able to keep it in its current stylish condition.

eBay Bans Sale Curses Spells Hexes
Beginning in September, the site is banning the sale of "advice, spells, curses, hexing, conjuring, magic, prayers, blessing services, magic potions, [and] healing sessions," according to a policy update.
The company is also eliminating its category listings for psychic readings and tarot card sessions.
The update is a part of a "multi-year effort...to build trust in the marketplace and support sellers," eBay (EBAY, Fortune 500) wrote in its company blog.
Has anyone actually been buying magic on eBay? It seems so: The site's "spells and potions" category currently has more than 6,000 active listings and happy feedback from quite a few satisfied buyers.
"Best spell caster on Ebay," one customer wrote after a recent purchase.
"Wonderful post-spells communication!" another raved. "We bought 4 spells! Highly Recommend!"
Spells and hexes aside, eBay is rolling out a long list of rule tweaks, as it does several times a year. For example, buyers will now be required to contact sellers before getting eBay involved with any issues regarding a purchase. Sellers will also be subject to a fee for ending an auction earlier than planned.
EBay also banned the sale of "work from home businesses & information," a category that is often abused by scammers.
EBay isn't the only online marketplace culling its listings. Etsy, a platform for homemade goods, also recently prohibited the sale of various items, including drug paraphernalia and body parts.

Online auctioneers eBay are implementing new rules banning magic, potions and spells in an attempt to force swindlers and quacks off the site.
The past slogan 'Whatever it is - you can get it on eBay' will no longer apply from the end of August.
The new guidelines also ban advice on any of the magic-related subjects listed which means that sales of fantasy merchandise, such as books and products related to the Harry Potter novels, could be at risk.
The new rules intend to target more abstract items up for sale on eBay, such as spells to harm ex-partners, lucky potions and psychic readings.
Examples of services offered on eBay include an activation of 'Starseed/Lightworker DNA so that you may connect with your galactic guides from your home planet' and a £3.50 Love Trap Spell to force the unresponsive object of the buyers affection to 'want you big time'.
As of the 30th of August ‘spells; curses; hexing; conjuring; magic; prayers; blessing services; magic potions and healing sessions’ are banned merchandise for sellers, eBay wrote in their 2012 Fall Seller Update.
It is not yet clear whether J.K. Rowling's latest Potter creation – a book of spells in collaboration with Sony for Ps3 – will be banned under the new rules.
The Book of Spells, which Rowling herself called ‘the closest a Muggle can get to a real spell book’, is a virtual book for PlayStation 3.

Bellino says someone or something had a hand at inflating and later deflating her account without her knowledge.
"What I have learned is that someone else can do this to my account, and it's very interesting how this chain of events has unfolded, and how certain people seem so knowledgeable and opinionated about what is happening to my account," she continued.

And according to the pros, Bellino could very well have been the a victim of a cyber-security breach.
“Based on my review of Alexis’ account, it appears that she may have been targeted by ‘bots,’ i.e. fake accounts for spamming purposes. This could be considered a ‘hack’ in the sense that a person can hire a bot service to do this to someone, but it’s not a hack in the traditional sense of someone taking over her account," explained Michael Gregg, COO of Superior Solutions. "This could be done to try to discredit Alexis or have her account blocked by Twitter. These bots will turn very quickly - your account can get bombarded by them in a short period of time and then see them disappear just as fast, once Twitter starts to target and remove these fake accounts. Judging by some of her followers, it appears there are a number of these fake accounts still attached to her Twitter feed.”
Chris Weber, co-founder of Casaba Security, and Mark Wuergler, senior security researcher at Immunity Inc. both concurred that the activity on her accounts are spam-bot related.
"I am told anyone can easily do to it anyone else without the use of passwords, usernames, or any other privileged information," Bellino told us.

junk food lowers sperm count, Junk Food ‘Lowers Sperm Count And Quality'Men who love eating junk food could be slowly killing their sperm count with every bite, research has revealed.A study by Harvard Medical School, Boston, discovered that men with a diet high in saturated fats produce significantly less sperm than men who ate a healthy, balanced diet.
Researchers studied results from men attending a US fertility clinic who were questioned about their diet and fat intake.
They discovered that junk food not only carries other health risks like heart disease, obesity and cholesterol, but it destroys sperm count and quality.
Men who regularly ate junk food had a 43% lower sperm count and 38% lower sperm concentration (this the number of sperm per unit volume of semen) compared to men who ate healthy.
During the study, researchers discovered that a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids are best at boosting sperm quality, as men who ate lot’s of fish and plant-based oils had 1.9% more correctly formed sperm than men with lower levels of omega-3 in their diet.
Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids include oily fish (sardines, tuna, mackerel, salmon), flax seeds, tofu and leafy greens (kale, spinach, collard).
Researcher, Professor Jill Attaman said as reported by the Press Association: "The magnitude of the association is quite dramatic and provides further support for the health efforts to limit consumption of saturated fat given their relation with other health outcomes such as cardiovascular disease."
This study follows a previous study that linked infertility to a junk food diet in men.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), a healthy sperm count is considered to be at least 20m per ml and at least 75% of the sperm should be alive in the ejaculate. Around 30% should be of normal shape and form.
Researchers added that the sperm count of participants in the study varied between 39m per ml to 15m per ml.
Dr Allan Pacey from the University of Sheffield told the Press Association: "This is a relatively small study showing an association between dietary intake of saturated fats and semen quality. Perhaps unsurprisingly there appeared to be a reasonable association between the two, with men who ate the highest levels of saturated fats having the lowest sperm counts and those eating the most omega-3 polyunsaturated fats having the highest.
"Importantly, the study does not show that one causes the other and further work needs to be carried out to clarify this. But it does add weight to the argument that having a good healthy diet may benefit male fertility as well as being good general health advice."
Fertility expert Emma Cannon told HuffPost Lifestyle: "A good diet is the building blocks for good fertility in both men and women. This research, although small, is important as it encourages men as well as women to improve their general health prior to conceiving.
“In most relationships it is the woman who drives the healthy eating campaign and sometimes it is difficult to persuade their partners to improve their eating and drinking habits. I see women needlessly go through IVF because of poor semen quality, so anything that demonstrates that changing bad habits improves sperm is a good thing.”
It’s estimated that around 20% of young men suffer from poor quality semen and of the couples who opt for IVF, 30 to 50% have male-related fertility problems.

This study included 117 men between the ages of 21 and 35. The participants were divided into two groups — one who consumed 2.6 ounces of whole-shelled walnuts along with their daily diet, and the other group who ate a regular diet while avoiding nuts altogether.
The lead author, professor Wendie Robbins from UCLA's Fielding School of Public Health, said, "We found a significant improvement in sperm parameters in the group that consumed the walnuts. The men who ate no tree nuts saw no change."
Sperm quality improved in terms of concentration, vitality, movement, shape and chromosome abnormalities.
The fatty acids, like omega-3, found in these nuts are thought to have improved sperm quality, although it is not known if this would help improve male fertility, signs are encouraging.
The researchers note that the next step is to work with couples experiencing infertility due to poor semen quality and then determine if adding walnuts to the diet results in better success of conception.

On Tuesday in Pretoria, as South Africans reveled in the unusual winter snowfall, Clinton hosts dubbed her "Nimkita," or "the one who brought the snow," at a gala dinner that would provide perhaps the most-viewed television footage of the trip.
"'Nimkita' will be a name that I will proudly bear," Clinton told the crowd before the evening entertainment, South African jazz and pop singer Judith Sephuma, cajoled the clearly delighted former first lady to cut a rug with her and other guests at the Presidential Guest House.
Video of the secretary, clad in a shimmering blue jacket, boogieing down amid a cluster of dignitaries with decidedly mixed dancing skills quickly went viral on the Web, drawing hundreds of thousands of online views from around the world.
Clinton – once nicknamed "secretary of quake" by her traveling press corps for an uncanny knack of being in countries when temblors or other natural disasters hit (at least four times and counting now) – had a new nickname.
She had arrived in South Africa from making the first trip ever by a secretary of state to Malawi where she had also danced on camera – with rural women after donating a bull to an agricultural collective – but had not created the same stir.In Africa, the Internet buzzed with exaggerated reports that Clinton and her entourage had been attacked and chased out of the country by a swarm of angry bees. A local newspaper report said the insects had descended on the tarmac at the airport in Lilongwe and caused chaos as she boarded her plane.
In fact, the bees swirled around her motorcade as it arrived but dissipated as it approached the plane where she was serenaded by a troupe of traditional dancers. Later, Clinton did not recall even seeing the bees, and no one in her party was stung.

The self-proclaimed 'Coupon Queen' had described how she boosted the youngster's energy ahead of performances with Pixy Stix - tubes of powdered sugar often known as 'pageant crack' - and 'Go-Go- Juice', a mixture of Red Bull and Mountain Dew, according to Good Morning America.
Today, she responded to the backlash in an interview with the show.She said: 'There are far worse things. I could be giving her alcohol.'
Explaining that a typical event can be exhausting for the children involved, she continued: 'A pageant day can last from 7 in the morning to 6,7,8,9, 10 at night, so performing and getting a kid up that early and lasting all day without a rest, you have to energize their body.'
Ms Shannon also added that she was not alone in the practice.
'Everybody does it,' she said. 'There are normal people who give their kids this, so why is it such a big issue with us pageant moms that do it all weekend to keep our kids energized and awake?'
Indeed, producers filming a Nightline special on the subject were witness to one such pageant in New York where they saw children drinking caffeinated soda and candy from as early as 7am, while a similar event in Austin, Texas, saw many contestants eating Pixy Stix.But child health experts have voiced their concern about the so-called 'Go-Go Juice', given that a single can of Mountain Dew or Red Bull contains as much caffeine as a cup of coffee.
A report last year from the American Academy of Pediatrics stated that children who have too much caffeine are at raised risk of neurological and cardiovascular problems.
Its authors warned: 'Energy drinks are never appropriate for children or adolescents. In general, caffeine-containing beverages, including soda, should be avoided.'
The Toddlers and Tiaras episode featuring Alana saw Ms Shannon tell how she created her 'Go-Go Juice' mixture after 15 bags of Pixy Stix failed to boost the youngster's energy.
Viewers were outraged as she explained the concept of 'special juice', telling producers: 'A lot of pageant moms and people know what the "special juice" is - everybody has their different concoctions...'A lot of moms say, "Oh, well you’re doping up your child." The film was also distinctively old-school in its approach to action, using minimal computer effects in favor of stunt work and real explosions. Stuntman Kun Liu, 26, was killed during one such sequence while filming at a dam last year in Bulgaria.
Mixed martial arts fighter-turned-actor Randy Couture said the death during the second-unit shoot "changed the mood on the movie for a couple weeks, for sure."
Stallone, who also co-wrote the script, told reporters this week in London that there had been deaths during two of his previous films and "it's never easy."
Co-star Dolph Lundgren said in an interview that his stunt double was seriously hurt in the same explosion, which he called a "major accident."
"I could see like post-traumatic stress for a month after. Because he was very close to dying," Lundgren said of his double, who was hit in the eye by a piece of iron. "It made us all realize that yeah, it is a dangerous business. You have to watch your steps."Couture and actor Terry Crews said there was no thought of closing down the film after the death.
"Stuntmen take these wonderful risks every day, like police officers, like firemen. It would be a shame to not finish," Crews said. "And we kind of galvanized around that. That was a big moment for all of us, where we were like, `Let's go.'"
At the end of the credits, the film is dedicated to Kun Liu's memory.
But the stuntman's parents have sued Millennium Films and the movie's stunt coordinator, Chad Stahelski, claiming they were reckless in the preparations, training and execution of the stunt.
"That is a nice and thoughtful gesture to the decedent and his family, but certainly it does not absolve the responsible parties of his death," said Bill Karns, an attorney representing Zong Yu Liu and Yan Mei Bai.
Stahelski and Elizabeth Wolfe, a spokeswoman for Millennium Films, have declined comment on the case.

'Because I know a lot of people go through [losing a child], and they don’t get the attention that I do.
'And I feel for them, because it’s one club that no one wants to be a member of, that’s for sure.But I think about his memory, he was a lovely boy and I’ll always treasure that.'
Tonight it was the turn of the Hollywood premiere; perhaps the hardest leg so far for Stallone, as it means returning to the city where Sage died aged 36.

The girls are no doubt just as devastated about Sage's sudden death as their father is, but are clearly helping him move on from the tragedy.
The 36-year-old filmmaker - whose mother is Sasha Czack - was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment last month and evidence suggested that his death was accidental.Despite the personal tragedy, Stallone has persisted with his career commitments and has been promoting the action film for the past week or so.
The film really is his baby, and he recently admitted that he refused doctor's advice not film his own stunts.
