Two weeks ago Rogelio Mauricio Harris, 34, was arrested on for attempting to smuggle four pounds of methamphetamine hidden in 45 Snickers bars from the U.S. to Japan but was fortunately caught at Los Angeles International Airport.U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials had become suspicious of Harris after discovering that he had booked a ticket to Japan only two days before departure with a return three days later.
Harris insisted that he was just travelling to Japan to visit his girlfriend, 'who lived in Hong Kong'.
When officers told him that Japan and Hong Kong were two separate countries, he responded 'They are?'
When officials checked his luggage they seized the chocolate which upon inspection was found to contain densely packed methamphetamine dipped in a ‘chocolate-like substance’.
