Lottery Winner Guns N Roses - Adrian Bayford had two dreams, and one of them just came true when he won an incredible £148m on the Euromillions lottery at the weekend.
And that puts the Englishman in a good place to try and make his other dream happen too: he’d love to get Guns n’Roses’ classic lineup back together.
It’s not very likely, of course, with several members of the band having repeated it’ll never take place, and frontman Axl Rose’s no-show at their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year.
But a man can keep dreaming, can’t he?
Music shop co-owner Adrian, 41, wife Gillian and their two young kids were the only winners of the top weekend prize, making them the second-biggest lotto winners in UK history.
The Deep Purple and Iron Maiden supporter says: “I think I would just have to get Guns n’Roses together – the original lineup, mind. I’m a real fan.”
But Adrian’s keeping his feet on the ground. The couple’s first purchases are going to be a new car and house… and Dominos pizza.
And he’ll be back at work at Suffolk Music Centre in Haverhill this morning.
But even if his new-found wealth can’t force Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler to reunite, it’s enough to buy 233 private shows by the current lineup of the band. Russian billionaire Alexander Chistyakov last year paid $1m (£638,000) for such a performance.
Earlier this week ex-GnR guitarist Slash revealed he has a dream of his own: he’d love to appear on muppet TV show Sesame Street.
